The best part about the Los Angeles is that it brings in a plethora of people from different backgrounds. Everyone from the blue collared workers to the who’s who of Hollywood will be found boogying the night away in one of these numerous nightclubs that are found here.
One thing that you need to remember, though, is that the popularity of these clubs is like that of a pendulum – they keep ticking to and fro. So even if you do visit a nightclub once; and don’t find it up and running the next time you’re there – fret not; it’ll be back in a good 4 months time again. Such is the fate of these nightclubs.
But if you are in L.A.; then these are some of the options you have available –
Airliner
The aeronautical theme will bring out your jet set and the constantly moving and banging dance floor might not do any good to your existing jet lag. This is one of the reasons you might want to avoid this place altogether. But then again, the plush feel of the lounge does make up for that first class experience that only a good airline can provide you with.
Some of the best local DJs will spin the music for you here and on some days, you might even get to get a taste of some superb live music.
Note: Airliner has a dress code that you need to adhere to. You might want to get dressed up, since this is the kind of place you’d go if you want to star gaze.
Arena
This is one of those clubs that has managed to stand the test of time. This club is styled to look like a warehouse; and has managed to stay around for a good number of decades now. The key to its success is perhaps, its flexibility. Arena has changed with time. The upper rooms (two rooms) have a hip hop club on one end and a salsa club on the other. The bottom main floor will have theme nights running the whole week through.
Saints and Sinnners
This is a different type of a nightclub. It isn’t your typical ‘Hollywood hopeful’ and ‘dancing queens’ kind of club; it is more of a haven for the serious cocktail lover. You could treat this as your ‘unwind after work’ kind of place. It is extremely popular with people who take their drinks stiff and serious.
