 Celebrity Cruises' 1,870-guest ship Mercury was placed in service in 1997. It cruises in Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico and the Panama Canal.
The ship has 639 Ocean-View Staterooms and 296 Interior Staterooms. There are two Penthouse Suites, ten Royal Suites, 24 Sky Suites and 14 Suites. All of the suites come with a personalized butler service, veranda, and a separate sitting area.
Celebrity Cruises has a custom-designed health spa which offers a full menu of programs and packages, including facials, hydrotherapy, mud baths, and massages. The spa has a 115,000-gallon thalassotherapy pool with warmed sea water and jet massage stations. AquaSpa SM services can be purchased separately, or as a package.
Guests can work out at the fitness center and hire a personal trainer. Packages offered include The Metabolism Booster, Oh, My Aching Back, Body Composition Analysis, The Total Fitness Package, and others.
Mercury's Manhattan Restaurant is a two-story dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows and ocean views. The restaurant serves elegant meals designed by Master Chef Michel Roux. Guests can choose from a variety of menu offerings, including "Lean and Light," children's menus, special dietary considerations and Pacific Northwest specialties.
The Navigator Club aboard Celebrity Cruises' Mercury provides around-the-clock entertainment. During the day, guests can participate in a ballroom dancing lesson or listen to some piano music while enjoying beautiful views.
The club has a two-deck-high window that wraps around the room and seats at different levels overlooking the ocean. At night, the Navigator Club transforms into a nightclub with a disco floor and dancing. Public areas on the ship include an internet cafe, Rialto Galleries Shopping Area, Photo Galley, Teenage Center, Fortunes Casino, and a Youth Center.
