Hotels » Las Vegas » Luxor Hotel

One of the most recognizable buildings on the Las Vegas strip, Luxor is housed in a bronze pyramid with a colorful sphinx. The hotel is built to approximately three-quarters of the scale of the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Luxor casino sits below the largest open atrium in the world. The hotel's lobby is a recreation of the temple at Abu Simbel with four colossal statues of a seated Rameses.
The guest rooms and suites in the pyramid have sloping walls and balconies.

They are suspended into the open atrium of the pyramid. The top three floors are home to large guest suites. Guests reach their rooms in the pyramid by using "inclinators," since the walls of the structure are sloped. However, elevator boxes remain vertical while traveling along a 39-degree shaft.

The Oasis Spa at Luxor Las Vegas is open 24 hours and offers treatments inspired by Ancient Egypt such as herbal and aloe wraps in combination with salt sea exfoliation techniques. There is the 50-minute Dead Sea Mud Masque facial, body wraps, body cleansers, facials, and a variety of rejuvenating massages. To book a treatment, call 702-262-5720.

This Las Vegas hotel has a 120,000 square feet casino which includes popular table games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, Pai Gow and Craps. There is also Poker Room, Race & Sportsbook and Keno Lounge.

The resort swimming pool features dramatic views of the pyramid and palm trees.

There are several entertainment venues to choose from, including the IMAX Theatre and lounge music at Nefertiti's Lounge. Giza Galleria features 13,000 square feet of shopping.

Guests can dine at numerous resort restaurants. ISIS serves gourmet continental cuisine, Papyrus offers Asian Cuisine, Hamada of Japan serves Japanese Cuisine, and La Salsa features Fresh Mex food. There is also seafood at Sacred Sea, Pharaoh's Pheast Buffet, Luxor Food Court, Luxor Steakhouse, and other restaurants.
