The 940-guest Crystal Symphony is a luxury cruise ship with a focus on attentive service, luxury facilities and amenities. The ship is furnished with designer items, such as Frette table linens, Brown Jordan Mission Teak deck furniture, and Wedgwood bone china tea service. Guests can get pampered at the newly refurbished spa and dine at one of the several elegant restaurants.
Spacious public areas on Crystal Symphony include a two-story Crystal Plaza atrium lobby, 3,000-square-foot "Avenue of the Stars" shopping arcade, 4,400-square-foot Caesars Palace at Sea casino, and several lounges. One of the lounges, the 18-seat Connoisseur Club features a selection of fine cigars.
The 463-seat Galaxy Lounge showroom is the stage for production shows and other evening performances. The showroom on Crystal Symphony was especially designed to offer perfect views from each of its seats. Shows, which are a blend of music and dance, feature handmade costumes as well as state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems.
The Crystal Cruises ships are known for their innovative cuisine which incorporates regional cooking styles and exotic ingredients from destinations such as Western Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, California, the Mediterranean, Asia, the South Pacific, and others. In fact, in response to guests' requests, Crystal Cruises has published its own cookbook which can be bought on board.
The Crystal Dining Room, the main dining room on the ship, serves regionally inspired cuisine prepared in the classical French tradition. There are several alternate restaurants, including Prego which serves Italian cuisine, Kyoto, serving classic Japanese dishes, and Jade Garden which serves Orient-inspired dishes. In addition to these restaurants, the ship has numerous cafes, including a deck buffet, bistro, grill and an ice cream bar. Guests can also enjoy afternoon tea, cocktail hour, late-night hors d'oeuvres, and a complimentary room service 24 hours a day.
Before or after dinner, guests can enjoy dancing in several of the ship's lounges or in the nightclubs, the Palm Court and the Galaxy Lounge. The discos on the ship are the place for late-night dancing. Those who wish to learn a new dance can take lessons from professional dance instructors.
The 5,000 square foot Crystal Spa and Salon offers beauty, fitness and spa services. The spa adhers to the principles of feng shui and offers ocean views. Guests can choose from aerobic, Yoga or Pilates classes, free weights, and personal training. Crystal Symphony also offers a specially developed cuisine program for those who wish to maintain a special diet during their cruise vacation.
Crystal Symphony has two swimming pools: an outdoor lap pool with a Jacuzzi ®, and an indoor/outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi ®. Also available are a full promenade deck for walking and jogging, a paddle tennis court, table tennis, shuffleboard, driving ranges, and a putting green with Callaway ® golf equipment. Guests can also take golf lessons aboard the ship from a PGA pro.
Guests who need some peace and quiet can retire to the library which contains over 2,000 books, 1,000 videotapes and/or DVDs, and numerous magazines. Another popular program aboard the ship is the Crystal Visions Enrichment Program which includes lectures about the areas of the world visited during the cruise, including the Caribbean, Alaska/Canada, Western Europe, Mediterranean, Hawaii, and other destinations. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the Computer University@Sea classroom to brush up on computer skills.
The 143-seat Hollywood Movie Theatre on Crystal Symphony presents a a selection of popular recent-release and classic films. The theatre is also equipped with devices for the hearing-impaired.
For those who like to shop, Crystal Symphony features a 3,000 square foot Avenue of the Stars shopping promenade which includes specialty boutiques, including jewelry, clothing, active sportswear, fragrance, cosmetics and souvenirs.
