Travel is a pleasure in itself, to make it more glamorous and enduring the best you can do to make it everlasting is write them down. Not just the generation of today but if it is truly the artwork of writing creativity it will be remembered for ages to come. You must have read lots of novels and biographies and poetic stanzas, what makes them so demanding – it is the art of true writing skills. Remember, how the suspense novels used to start with  [...]

  • A Bikers Experience With My Partner Royal Enfield Delhi To Leh Ladakh
A Bikers Experience With My Partner Royal Enfield Delhi To Leh Ladakh
Trip Planning and Preparation This has been one of the most adventurous journeys in my life. It all started at a coffee shop when a friend challenged me if I could do this amazing adventure. First I did not take it seriously but looking back at my life I realized that I had to accomplish this challenge. For me the challenge was to move from the regular 150 cc bikes to the 350 cc Royal Enfield which is often just called as Bullet in India. To make this dream challenge a reality there had to be a lot of planning and preparation. I had first work on sharpening my skills to do makeshift repairs in case my bike broke down in the journey. I decided to do a crash course with a local mechanic who trained me from basic like repairing the chain, changing the break and accelerator wire to handling the puncture. I also picked you extra spares  [...]

The amazing scenery is shielded by two national parks namely the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors along with many parts of innate beauty in all its splendorous forms. Travel to Enchanting Kerala, God’s Own Country – Day 7 & 8
The day was bright, everything was moving at a slow pace, as I stood in my hotel balcony I gazed at clear skies, chirping birds, river flowing by the pool, I was enjoying every bit of my time here. It seemed like the time was moving faster than usual as our manager knocked in at the door, in no time I was out with my fully loaded luggage and hand baggage. We all were relaxed enjoying every bit of the lovely time we spent together; we were supposed to go back to Cochin, to catch our flight back Mumbai. As we drove down the mountain hill of Munnar, for the very last time I gazed at the vast scenic beauty of nature with lovely breeze passing by. First few minutes we were able to just spot tea plantations around the place belonging to private companies, the other 15 minutes I just saw pulp trees at both the sides of the road, the rubber  [...]

Travel to Enchanting Kerala, God’s Own Country – Day 6
The day opened up few jitters, but a sunny day with clear skies, soon after the breakfast we were off to our dream travel experience of lifetime, we passed through dense vegetation forest areas, as our bus drew along the silky path way, I could feel the cool breeze enveloping my hair giving me a good hair spa with all the natural conditioning. Everywhere I could set my eyes on was tea plantations along the slopes, up and down hill; the tea grows here in abundance as it is cold climate throughout the year. Some places along the roads, we could see minor landslides and tree falling due to heavy rains and strong winds yesterday night but it was all cleared up sooner and no mishaps. I felt as if we are digging in the jungle to find its vast treasures, the first place we visited was the Echo point, as soon as I entered the site I could  [...]

Travel to Enchanting Kerala, God’s Own Country – Day 5
What a lovely morning it was, I blessed the hotel guys for not setting up the fans coz’ if they had put it then I would have surely put them on, whole night it was shivering cold and was raining heavily. The strong winds felt like they are going to blow me away anytime, after a quick breakfast I was out sailing on my own to look out for some places where I could visit, some of the famous places in Munnar were Rajamalai which was 15 kms away from Munnar, this is home to the last Nilgiri Tahr (a shy elusive endangered species), from Rajamalai you can view the highest peak of South India, ANAIMUDI at 8883 ft. other places included Tea museum, Madupetty, Echo point, Kundale, Top station, Luckom falls, Marayoor, Chinnar, Pallivasal and lots of other places. Getting out of the hotel, was a quick photo session at the riverside on the  [...]

Travel to Enchanting Kerala, God’s Own Country – Day 4
Today, the morning opened up with a bright sunny day, I could hear the beautiful chirping of birds outside my Mountain View window; I loved sipping a hot cup of coffee with lip smacking strawberry cookies sitting in the balcony looking at the vastness of forest reserves. It was a free morning as we did not had any places to visit in the morning so I went out on my own to discover alone, after a quick breakfast I went out hunting for traditional houses, the bamboo groves, staying in such huts is a pleasure in itself, the tribals in the interiors of forest areas stay in such houses. As soon as I entered the forest reserve area I could feel as if I am in a Jungle, there were various huts designed to look like traditional Keralite huts, each of them were named with bird’s name in Kerala, the different names of the huts were horn bill,  [...]

Travel to Enchanting Kerala, God’s Own Country – Day 3
Just as I said in my last post, Periyar Lake is truly the lake which belongs to Mother Nature! At morning 8:30 am sharp, we left from our hotel rooms after having lovely South Indian breakfast consisting of Uthappa (as they call it) and Chatni (coconut sauce). We took entry pass tickets for our vehicle to go inside as it was a forest tiger reserve area, we passed through thick blanket of forest having wild plantations with some of the beautiful flower plantations around, some of us even got down to take the snaps. Although we dint saw any wild life there, the guide told us that you can see wild life only after going inside the forest area of 40 Km which was not allowed. Well, going ahead, what we saw next were huge ships and small boats waiting for us to take the prideful Periyar lake ride, we sat on the upper deck, I saw people  [...]

Travel to Enchanting Kerala, God’s Own Country – Day 2
The wait was too long for the whole night for massage session I had been waiting for! Exactly sharp at 6:15 am we got a call from the massage parlor and I was right there in 10 minutes of time. Wow, it was a lovely cozy room with a special wooden massage bed, it was too cold early in the morning as it was raining very heavily and the lukewarm oil being poured all over my body by the massagers there, made me feel like I am on cloud number 9, really it was an exciting feeling coz’ this was my first ever experience of Kerala Massage. Each of my body muscles felt like they are coming to life, each nerves felt they are being pushed of fresh oxygen. Overall, it was one of the greatest experiences I ever had in my life. The massage continued for nearly 1 hour then came the time for steam bath, I was a little amazed by the little sitting  [...]

Travel to Enchanting Kerala, God’s Own Country – Day 1
Finally, the day came for which I had been waiting for so long, the enchanting greenery, bushy forests areas, traditional bungalows, and lovely sea shores, my Kerala, God’s own country. After coming here, I now know why people call it God’s own! The place has its own unique specialty, although we might have read about it, but, unless you visit it, you cannot truly know its true nature. Its just one day and I am so rejuvenated with the vastness of greenery and unending sea shores. Last whole week, I had been so excited for visiting my favorite destination, let me take you to little bit of flash back about how it all began. Long back, when I had just started with blogging I came across a site relating to travel in India, especially Kerala tour, reading the article about this place I got an inner feeling to visit this destination  [...]
