They called the 787 the Dreamliner, but there is no reason to believe that that would not be a more appropriate name for this innovative place of stay, for altogether different reasons of course. As you may well remember, the 747-200 boasts a second deck and a part of this has been converted into a common area as has a similar area nearer the nose of the airplane. The creators have even gone to the extent of taking out the seats from first class and using them on the higher level, making things a bit more surreal and comfortable for all. You can always unwind at the common area on the lower level, near the front as mentioned previously, and partake of some snacks and drinks while chatting with fellow residents. You could be forgiven for believing that it is all a bit cramped and claustrophobic, but the rooms themselves have two beds, wireless internet and flat-screen TV’s installed which is standard fare for any hotel room and it is as cozy as it gets while on an airplane, and not spartanly in its furnishing.

The story behind the creation and conversion of the hostel itself bears retelling. A Swedish hotelier, Oscar Dios, was looking at options for a new property and stumbled upon the idea of buying a 747 that was headed for the junkyard. After much effort was made to make it habitable and an attractive option for tourist, its doors were thrown open for boarding. The cockpit has been converted into a larger suite, complete with some of the original interiors and it is all a novelty, albeit a fun one that beats the hell out of checking into your run of the mill hotels. Just 10 minutes from the check-in counter at the terminal, the thought of saving yourself the pain of sleeping on the airport floor due to an overbooked/delayed flight is a joy in itself, and that’s without even considering for a moment the delightfully diabolical manner in which a bit of innovation and recycling was pulled off. Sleeping at the airport was never made to sound better.

Read them well and plan your trip wisely.
• Prepare yourself: Mostly, it is a decision of a life time. Think hard and prepare yourself in advance. If you are addicted to home comforts, look out and see the less fortunate’s lifestyle. Keeping a minimum budget for luxury, while travelling is the wisest thing to do. Trust me when I say, a few days of hardship is going to do you good.
• Start saving smartly: Once you have decided on the journey, be wise and start saving judiciously. In this world there is nothing like a free lunch and you should prepare yourself for that. Start sorting out your finances and pay off any debts or pending credit card bills. When you plan your trip financially, keep at least a 10% of the amount, extra for any emergency.
• Prepare others: When you leave for months to go around the world make sure your friends and family support your decision. After all it is them who are going to take care of your house, pets, business etc.
• Take precautions: Make sure that before you embark on such journeys you are in the finest of health. Do health checks and take all relevant vaccines. After all it’s always better to take precautions.

One ‘big tip for your big trip’ is to go and book your tickets. The sense of travelling and the freedom that it entails will sink in faster once you have done that. Perhaps it’s because once you’ve booked your flights, there is no way of ‘going back’ left. So buck up and go far away. Bon voyage!!!!

At this point, you have to stay at least once, (if not all the time) in a hostel dorm. Dorms are great for giving you the opportunity to make friends while taking away from you the sleep that u desperately are in need of. And to top it all, the squeaky bunk or the cheap plastic mattress or a heavily snoring roommate, can really take out any fun that was left to be enjoyed…

A wise man once said, ‘when u have to sleep, you have to sleep and cannot do anything else.’ And so let us give you some tips so that u can endure all this and still, are able to catch up on your most revered SLEEP.

• Ready yourself for anything : Before embarking on any such tour, you should mentally prepare yourself well in advance. If you are doing it for the first time ever, prepare yourself for anything at all. You should stride any difficulty with positivity and patience (2 Ps). Even if you get caught in a bad riot or a town with an emergency curfew on, follow the 2 Ps and the rules and you will be fine. Remember that these hostels would be the only place where you can be safe and out of any trouble.
• Good pair of earplugs and sleep masks : The first and the foremost thing u need to carry whenever you are off on a tour like this is a good pair of earplugs and sleep masks. We recommend two such pairs so that even if one tears apart, you still have the other to use. It is a vital part of your packing and should be on the top of your luggage list.
• Security issues : Remember that when you are staying in such cheap accommodations, security risks are the highest. Travelling light with just the basic materials and no shopping on the way is highly recommended. Also all the important papers like passport, visa or driving licenses and money have to be taken good care of, while safeguarding it with utmost sincerity. Remember away from home, these papers are the only things that define you.
• Be flexible and tolerant : You have to be flexible about when you are going to get some extra siesta. Afternoons is a pretty good time as everybody has headed out. If you have had a bad journey and are suffering from lack of sleep, just take the afternoon off from touring and head for a nice long nap. Being tolerant is a harder one to manage but it works very well. Think about other things and you’ll fall asleep eventually
• Bed location : Last but not the least; the bed location is a huge issue. Don’t pick the bed near any door or the bathroom if there is one. Same applies if there is a wall of lockers in the room. Even if beds are assigned, you should always request a different number.
• Once you learn to sleep differently when you are on the road, you will have the heartiest trip ever. You should be ready for any kind of disturbance, be it a child crying through the night or a symphony of bears snoring away to glory. If you can adjust to these issues early on, you’ll manage to get a better sleep which will leave you fresh as a lily for the journey of the next day.

The best advantage of spontaneous writing is that you don’t miss out on any details, if the matter is delayed then you might miss out on some points but when it is live that you are jotting down all the points its highly impossible for you to miss out on any thing that is important. Travel blogs are getting popular these days and I have even seen people leaving their jobs and setting out on a world tour and they get funding through their blogs, which they write of their experiences. The major creativity comes from you when you are spontaneous you want to get things done just now without any delays, this gives you can added benefit of writing more creatively.

So pick up a place where you are comfortable and get ready to draw the across picture in to words, use as many creative words that comes to your mind relating to the episode, find the beauty in everything that you see across and define them for your readers.
