This essentially deserts caped country, founded barely three centuries back by the Al Sabah family, offers some amazing structures like the Al seif Palace, Bayt Lothan, Oil Display centre, Dhows and Al Ahmadi. The Al Ahmadi, the oasis administrative town of Kuwait is chock-full with oil refineries, beautifully planned residential areas with serene settings. Bayt Lothan, an NGO involved in the noble effort of bringing arts-crafts-design to the forefront in Kuwait, is a must visit for the art fanatic. The Sadu House also is the upholder of Bedouin art-crafts, also a place to own some exotic pieces of art.

A visit to the famous primeval, nautical merchant ships in fascinating shapes and sizes also called Dhows in Kuwait are a treat to the eyes. One must experience the annual Pearl Diving festival that is held to commemorate the lives of people who dedicated their lives to the pearl industry.

The Kuwait Scientific Centre houses the largest aquarium, famous eateries, IMAX theatre, Dhow Harbour and gift shops. Travel to the Doha village, which was a fishing village earlier, now has an amazing entertainment city, a famed theme park built on the lines of Disneyland.

The Old City Walls of Kuwait bear significant historic importance and were ravaged by the outcome of the Iraqi attack, now have been restored to their early glory. The famed monuments of the Liberation Tower and the Kuwait Towers signify Kuwait liberation. The Liberation Tower is the tallest telecommunication tower globally with an observation level and restaurant which opens only for a day during liberation day. The Kuwait Towers has a restaurant and an observation deck will proffers magnificent views of the skyline with the middle tower holding a million gallons of water.

History, religion and art aficionados can revel in the art works in the Tareq Museum and view the inspiring Fatima and Grand Mosque, our Lady of Arabia Church and the Holy Family Cathedral.

The Messila beach offers splendid ambience, crystal clear water; white, sun-kissed sands, with plentiful adventure sports activities. The Failaka Islands which have bore the brunt of the war, is a treasure chest of many unique cache left behind from the Bronze Age and the Hellenistic Greeks.

Not to be missed is a visit to the Zoological Gardens, the Gulf Road, the Marina Mall or enjoy the old-world charm in the Salmiya district. Kuwait has numerous sea clubs, yatch clubs and a Hunting and Equestrian club.

A visit to Israel is unfinished without experiencing the magnificent Jerusalem and Bethlehem, the famed duo that commemorate the origin of Christ and the dawn of Christianity.

Consecrated by the world’s trio religions of Jewish, Christianity and Muslims, Jerusalem the enthralling city with its wide array of memorials, awe-inspiring scenic locales and splendid gold hued granite makes it the superlative global pilgrimage cum travel site.

The key landmark of Jerusalem is the Via Dolorosa, the holy path that Christ undertook on his final journey to Golgotha, where he was crucified. Via Dolorosa also called the Path of 14 Stations is the most beaten tracks in Jerusalem which countless followers tread on a daily basis to pay homage. One can find several memorabilia selling shops lining the sides of this path.

Atop the final five stations lies the Holy Sepulchre Church which has an austere, plain setting which is the complete contrast to the significance of this place where an elegant stone block stands signifying the precise place where Christ was put to rest after his demise. One heaves a sigh of inevitable anguish and rupture that surmounts one and all as one reminisces the events that lead to Christ’s end.

The charming appeal of Bethlehem proffers ultimate relief and placidness to the somnolent pilgrim. The legendary Church of Nativity located in central Manger Square, Bethlehem, the birth place of Christ, is the penultimate pilgrimage paradise for Christians. With confounding perplexity regarding its actual developer, this primeval stone construction has undergone numerous restorations after bearing the brunt from several lines of rulers who controlled Bethlehem.

The Church has three low-heighted foyers in different sizes. The initial main foyer was developed during the Turkish era as an animal shed. The Church that houses the stable where Christ was born has three different sections made by diverse rulers, with the third section, also known as the Catholic Church, where midnight mass during Christmas is broadcasted globally. The church has a humble ambience with no frills architecture. On the eve of Christmas, the miniature statue of Christ is moved from here to the cave, where one can find elaborate silver-gold altar where the mesmerising hymns echo creating an ethereal atmosphere.

The daunting statuette of St. Jerome, a favoured pilgrim spot where his remnants lie, stands tall in the patio of the church, to venerate his mighty endeavour to decipher the Bible from Greek to Hebrew and then in Latin.

A visit to this ever-inspiring country of Israel is bound to leave one and all in immense awe and tranquillity.

A visit to Dubai would remain incomplete without a trip to the Desert Safari in Dubai. The action packed desert safari takes you on a journey from a desert to a mountain in a 4 wheel drive to a camel ride and then to an isolated village.

You have options of morning safari, evening safari or overnight safari to choose from. It is ideal to take the evening safari or an overnight safari to escape the harsh sunlight and the scorching day time temperatures. The morning desert safari is suitable for people who do not have time to spare in the afternoon or evening. They start at 9.00 and move straight towards the desert where they enjoy 20 minutes of dune bashing and then they are taken to a camp where they can try out 15 minutes of quad biking, camel riding, and sand skiing. It is advised not to miss the opportunity of a ride on the camel, the ship of the desert.

The evening desert safari generally departs in the late afternoon to take you across the desert in Dubai. You will enjoy the famous Arabian Roller Coaster Ride also called as dune bashing. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset and drive on till you reach your camp site. It is suggested that while you reach the camp site you should taste the Arab coffee and dates. Women can indulge in henna designing on their hands and feet. You can also try camel riding and sand boarding. The Arabs are perfect host and so you would be able to enjoy a traditional Arabian barbecue dinner under the starry skies. You can also try the Shisha, which is the famous traditional Arabic hubly-bubly water pipe. And finally before returning to Dubai you can watch the most popular Arabian belly dance performed around the camp fire.

If you have time in hand you should opt for the overnight desert safari. This includes all the elements of the evening safari, however instead of returning to the city in the evening you gain an opportunity to spend the night at the desert camp site. You will have beautiful experience of sleeping in spacious tents under the starry night in your sleeping bags. You can experience the beautiful cool Arabian night and see the stunning sunrise in the morning. Before returning back to Dubai you can eat a hearty Arabian or continental breakfast.

A visit to a desert safari is an experience that you cherish for a life time and can share your family and friends. It is truly worth every single penny that you spend.
