Avis has announced a free weekend car rental offer where customers can earn a free two-day weekend rental for every weekly rental of at least five days. Vacationers who register before June 25, 2006 acan earn up to three free weekend certificates to be redeemed for travel through December 17, 2006.

Free rental certificates will be mailed to customers after completion of one qualifying rental. Rentals of five consecutive days or longer, from the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands qualify. Free rental certificates may be redeemed at all participating locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. They are not redeemable at Newark, LaGuardia and JFK airports or at any metropolitan New York location.
