Boston for Lovers - Deluxe
While Boston is a thoroughly modern city, during your visit you'll often feel as if you've stepped back in time. So much of the city remains unchanged -- the gaslit and cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill, the narrow alleyways of the North End, the ducks waddling at your feet in the Public Garden -- its romantic side is just below the surface. You'll find it not only in the obvious places but also in fleeting moments as you open the time capsule of Boston.

The quintessential "walking city," Boston provides unlimited opportunities for wandering hand-in-hand with your loved one. Add a romantic dinner for two with a spectacular view or a ride on a swanboat and you're well on your way to a Boston holiday teeming with romance. Beacon Hill's narrow cobblestoned streets, antique shops along Charles Street, golden afternoon light pouring over steeply pitched roofs and the quiet hush of evening as townhouse lights twinkle on are charming. Beacon Hill restaurants fit the mould, too. Most are not splashy big-deal spots, but intimate and personal, just right for a tete-a-tete.

Get a close and intimate look at the rich and varied attractions of Boston city. Travel in a pedicab at a leisurely pace, and soak in the sunshine and the fresh breeze, as your guide offers you useful insights into the history of America’s oldest city.

The standard tour route (can be adadpted to your requirements) includes:

  • Fenway Park: It is one of the oldest baseball parks in the United States.
  • New England Aquarium : Located along Boston's scenic waterfront, the aquarium has colourful and educational exhibits featuring more than 8000 aquatic creatures, including the playful penguin pool. There is also a 4-storey glass ocean tank that houses a coral reef display plus an outstanding variety of fishes, sharks and sea turtles. You will also drive past Long Wharf in waterfront downtown Boston which was once the main commercial wharf of the port, but is now used by ferries and cruise boats.
  • Back Bay/Copley Square/Newbury Street Fine Shopping District: The construction in the early 19th century of the Mill dam and Cross Dam west of Beacon Hill caused the creation of a large swamp. It was considered a health hazard and the filling of the swamp was started in 1857. This project, which took almost thirty years to complete, was the start of a new popular district: Back Bay. Copley Square is the district’s small central square. Despite its lack of size, it boasts several landmarks: among the most famous are the 1877 Trinity Church, the 1895 Public Library and the 1975 John Hancock Tower. Newbury Street is located in the Back Bay area of Boston. It is lined with historic 19th-century brownstones that contain hundreds of shops and restaurants, and expensive boutiques.
  • Historic North End (the Birthplace of the American Revolution) : The North End is Boston’s oldest neighbourhood and is called Boston’s ‘Little Italy’. Although it is home to almost every group of immigrants, North End has a strong Italian flair and is the home of some of the city’s best Italian restaurants. The North End played a major part in American history, particularly in the American Revolution. Residents hold annual festivals (also known as feasts) to honour patron saints of Italian villages.
  • Faneuil Hall Marketplace: Faneuil Hall Marketplace is internationally renowned for its foodstalls, shops and street entertainment. Jugglers and clowns, puppeteers and dancers, musicians and a host of other skilled entertainers perform along the cobblestone promenades between the three market buildings.
  • Old State House: Also known as Boston's "Town House", the Old State House is the oldest surviving public building in Boston. It was built in 1713 and was the centre of all political life and debate in colonial Boston.
