Why Go
If you are planning a family vacation to the Grand Cayman, Boatswain’s Beach is a must-see. Kids will love it. The Cayman Turtle Farm is home to over 11,000 Green Sea Turtles, ranging in size from six ounces to six hundred pounds.
Once you reach the farm, you can walk around the tanks and observe green sea turtles swimming in the breeding pond. There is also a small group of turtles that you can hold and photograph.
Tours are self-guided and take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
Attractions
Jump in for a swim at Breaker’s fresh water tidal lagoon and visit the Snack Shack for a quick lunch.
In addition to thousands of turtles, Boatswain’s Beach is home to other animals such as birds and crocodiles. There is a bird aviary as well as a touch pool with starfish, urchins and crabs. The predator tank houses sharks and eels.

The Farm is located on Northwest Point Road in West Bay, 8 miles from George Town. Boatswain’s Beach is open seven days a week from 8:30am to 4:30pm and is wheelchair accessible. Entry for adults for the ‘Boatswain’s Beach with lagoons’ tour is US $75 for adults and US $35 for children between the ages of 2-12; or the ‘Boatswain’s Beach without lagoons’ tour which is US $50 for adults and US $25 for children between the ages of 2-12; children under 2 will have free entry into the Park.
